Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study are those whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education is a VET course leading to an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) qualification. This includes study at a public TAFE or other VET provider. Applicants with VET study may have other qualifications such as a Year 10 or Year 12 secondary school certificate.
VET AQF qualifications include certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas. If you have received one of the following qualifications from an AQF-recognised institution you may meet minimum academic admission requirements.
An advanced diploma qualifies you for entry to SCEI-HE higher education study and may make you eligible for specified credit into the undergraduate course.
A diploma qualifies you for entry to SCEI-HE higher education study and may make you eligible for specified credit into the undergraduate course.
The certificate IV is the minimum requirement for undergraduate course entry, but will not guarantee the minimum language requirements.
If you have received a diploma or advanced diploma you have automatically satisfied SCEI-HE’s English language requirements. If you have received only a certificate IV, completing certain TAFE communication units or the STAT Written English test are ways of showing English language proficiency.
