Professor Michael Stuckey

Professor Michael Stuckey

Chair – Corporate Board

Professor Michael Stuckey, former Dean of Law at the University of Glamorgan (UK), the University of New England, Victoria University and the University of Tasmania, is a consultant change agent for the Higher Education Sector and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2019, Professor Stuckey was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and in July 2020, he was appointed as a Member of the Legal Services Council’s Admissions Committee.

Professor Stuckey has written many journal articles, chapters in books, and reviewed several books and case notes. He has presented papers and refereed at numerous overseas and Australian conferences as well as giving public lectures, interviews and published various other material in relation to his professional and academic interests. Professor Stuckey has served on many University boards and committees throughout his academic career.

Professor Jane Long

Professor Jane Long

Professor Jane Long is a higher education consultant and board director. Her previous roles include Provost at the University of Tasmania; Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at La Trobe University; and senior executive and academic positions at the University of Western Australia. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (UK). She has a long record of engagement with higher education providers and associated regulatory processes in state, national and international contexts, and has a particular interest in governance and risk management.

A professor of History, her areas of specialisation include the history of poverty and contemporary gender relations.

 

Professor Robin Pollard

Professor Robin Pollard

Robin is an experienced higher education leader, specialising in organisational change and performance improvement.

His previous roles include Vice-Chancellor, Group Vice-President, Academic Vice-President, and Chief Executive.

Robin has led major organisational change initiatives, including campus development, divestment and transfer. He has worked in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Malaysia, US, and Canada, and with responsibilities in South Africa, Cyprus, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Oman, China and Hong Kong.

Robin’s academic background is diverse: his PhD is in physics, and includes marketing, chemistry, and information technology.

Mr Zubair Dawood

Zubair Dawood is a Chartered Accountant and Director of ZASH Partners, an accountancy firm. ZASH Partners is a leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Tax Agents for both local and foreign inbound businesses. Zubair is personally experienced in board advisory services, tax planning, cash flow, budgeting, tax preparation, risk assessment and internal audit.

Ms Catherine Robbins

Catherine is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the public and private sector focused on audit, operational finance, systems development and support. As a qualified project manager she has delivered a range of complex large-scale business and technology programs. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Law) and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Zhefei Xu

Zhefei Xu

Zhefei first came to Australia in 2006 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at Flinders University in Adelaide, before furthering her studies in Melbourne at Victoria University with a Master of Accounting. Zhefei is innately a commercially-savvy professional, hence her decision to study in the finance sector, which established her analytical and strategic development skills. 

Her educational foundations aside, Zhefei had a keen interest in sales, marketing and digital media from the commencement of her professional career. Her studies provided contextual knowledge of essential business operations, which was the base of her confidence when she ultimately decided to pursue a career in marketing. 

In the present day, after years of professional development, leading teams and developing marketing strategy; Zhefei has a demonstrated history of working as a Marketing Director in the higher education sector. Zhefei brings strong networking capabilities, leadership, customer service, sales, and social media solutions to the organisation.

Mr Azeezur Rahaman

Mr Azeezur Rahaman

Azeezur Rahman, a Masters graduate, is the founding Managing Director of Southern Cross Education Institute. Azeezur Rahaman’s Vocational Educational Training organisation has registration with ASQA and VRQA delivering VCE, Vocational and non-accredited courses.
